COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Rooted in Community. Committed to Thriving Together.

At RVA Financial, financial wellness is just the beginning.

We believe strong communities are built through meaningful connections, trusted partnerships, and access to resources that support the whole person—not just their finances. As a community-focused credit union, we are deeply rooted in the neighborhoods we serve and actively engaged in partnerships that extend beyond banking to help our members and communities thrive.

We are proud to be a leader in financial wellness in the City of Richmond, and our commitment goes further.

Growing Together

Community engagement is not a program—it’s part of who we are. Whether through partnerships, outreach events, education, or referrals to trusted organizations, RVA Financial Credit Union is committed to showing up, building relationships, and investing in the well-being of the communities we proudly serve.

Together, we’re creating stronger connections, healthier communities, and a brighter future—for everyone.

More Than Financial Wellness

Four people sit in a circle having a discussion. One man in a blue sweater gestures with his hands while the others listen attentively, creating an atmosphere of group conversation or counseling.

While we are proud to be a leader in financial education and empowerment, our commitment goes further. We collaborate with local and regional organizations to help connect our members to essential services that promote health, stability, and quality of life.

Through our community engagement efforts, we work alongside partners that support:

  • Physical and mental health awareness
  • Aging and caregiver support
  • Family and community well-being
  • Access to education and vital resources

Trusted Community Partnerships

A woman in a gray knit hat and sweater writes a pledge on a van, stating, I will make hygiene kits for those in need. The van features a large heart in its design.

We are honored to partner with organizations such as the Virginia Department of Health and dementia awareness and advocacy groups, among others. These partnerships allow us to serve as a trusted connector—helping members and community members access reliable resources, information, and support when they need it most.

When appropriate, our team can refer members to our community partners, ensuring they receive guidance and services beyond what a financial institution alone can provide.
